Our Ecclesia in Barrie, Ontario accepted The Garden’s generous offer of backpacks for needy children & took up a donation to buy supplies. On Thursday, I shopped for supplies to fill the backpacks for the needy children at Johnson St. Public School, Barrie, Ontario.
On Monday, Sept 6, myself & a few members from our Ecclesia stocked them with supplies. Tuesday, Sept 7, I delivered them to my contact, Cheryl Reed, at the school. She was very grateful and assured me that the children would be thrilled with them.
Unfortunately, (due to covid) I was unable to enter the school or witness any of the children receiving their packs, but I did get photos of Cheryl in front of the school holding the kits.
Thank you so much and may God, our father continue to bless our efforts. Love in our shared Hope of the Kingdom,
Sis. Sandra Galysh
Below is the letter that I sent with the packs:
Johnson St Public School
Johnson St, Barrie, On.
Dear Cheryl,
These backpacks (Kits for Kids) are made available to children in need through:
The Williamsburg Christadelphian Foundation inspiring church and individuals to share Christ’s love through outreach initiatives for those most in need.
“And do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.” Hebrews 13:16
The Garden Project is one of their many initiatives covering many charitable projects.
The Garden provides the backpacks and we, the Barrie Christadelphians (our church is located on Hwy 11 & 4th line in Oro) are very pleased (through God’s grace)to purchase supplies for the packs that will be presented to children in need at Johnson St. Public School.
We pray that this gift will bring a smile to the children’s faces and assist in their daily academic studies.
Sincerely Yours
Sandra Galysh
