Recipient: John Swett School District Initiative: BagsofLove
We made a donation to the John Swett School District and provided the list of items needed for the backpacks (the district will keep the excess money for their next project.) The JSUSD staff purchased and filled the backpacks. This school district has a large proportion of low-income families and the backpacks were gratefully received. We were informed that parents were coming to the School District office and asking for help getting a filled backpack. Thank you for sending us the 50 backpacks, which made a big difference. The gentleman in the blue shirt is the School Superintendent, Mr Miller.
