Recipient: Local Food Bank Initiative: Kits4Kids
We stuffed 24 backpacks for distribution. The food bank folks were very happy to receive these as there is great need for the young families in our community. We will also be providing school snacks.
The backpack initiative was a great project for our ecclesia here in Picton. We had as many involved as we could (young and not so young). Those who were not able to help stuff the packs sent generous donations of money and school snacks. The ladies who run the charity in our community are so thankful for our help. There are many children in need and the school supplies and backpacks will provide a great boost to them!
Those who were involved, especially the young families, are excited to do more projects like this in the future. Us oldies were very enthusiastic as well. Many thanks to WCF in making these initiatives possible.
