Recipient:   Initiative: Bags of Love, Boxes of Love, Knit2Gether

The Stoughton (Boston) ecclesia combined Bags of Love, CarePacks and items made in the Knit2Gether group to donate to a Shelter for Homeless Women & Children.

In the CarePack backpacks we included personal care items, snacks, socks, and winter hats and gloves.  (Instead of: Chapstick, Comb, Deodorant, Tissues, Bandaids, Socks, Winter Hats & Gloves, Toothpaste, Toothbriush, Toothbrush Holder & Floss, Soap, Soap Holder & Face Cloth, Notebook & Pen, Wet Wipes, Pretzel Snacks, Cheezits, a Nutrition Bar & a packet of Cookies.)

We also provided some items, such as feminine care products and shampoo and towels, in bulk so they could choose what they wanted.  (Instead of: Items we supplied in bulk so they could choose what they wanted: Tampons and Pads, Shampoo & Conditioner and Towels. Some B&S also supplied extra, toothbrushes, toothpaste, tissues and there were a few items that had extras from the backpacks.)

Most items were grouped together and placed (Instead of: places) in ziplock bags. Smaller items were placed in the front pocket of the backpack. (Instead of: 5 items were placed in the front pocket of the backpack: Tissues chapstick, deodorant, a comb & a small bag of bandaids). The other items were placed in the backpack with the snacks and postcards on the top.

Ecclesial members donated items and helped to fill the backpacks. (Instead of: The box of backpacks was placed on a chair at the end of a table and all the other items placed so members could work their way down the table.)
